Gloria Vodan – On Point Blocks with No Waste



The finished quilt top will be a square quilt top with each block on point.
The original squares must all be the same size. It is recommended that squares be between 4”- 8”.
The pieces blocks wide will be sewn in a rectangle that MUST BE twice as long as it is wide.
Example: 8 blocks long by 4 blocks wide; or 10 long by 5 wide; or 12 long by 6 wide, etc.
I used 5” square blocks.
Total squares 12 X 6= 72 Around the World Layout.
Using 6 colors:
( It is possible to make it a 2 color quilt.
If 2 color quilt, the ‘A’ squares are a different color.)
A -12 squares- these are the ½ triangles border
B – 20 squares
C -16 squares
D – 12 squares
E – 8 squares
F – 4 squares These are the center 4 blocks
Supplies:
Sewing Machine, Thread
Quilt top or blocks
Rotary cutter and/or Scissors
Ruler
Iron on stabilizer to go behind diagonal cut
